The Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) continues prioritizing collaboration with individuals, families, case managers, and providers to empower those benefiting from home and community-based services (HCBS) waivers. These waivers are essential in helping people live fulfilling lives aligned with their goals and aspirations.
As part of its ongoing commitment to improving long-term services and supports, FSSA has announced proposed amendments to three key waivers: the Health and Wellness Waiver, the PathWays Waiver, and the Traumatic Brain Injury Waiver. These amendments will soon be submitted to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for consideration.
Opportunity for Public Comment
To ensure transparency and inclusivity, FSSA is opening a 30-day public comment period from December 25, 2024, to January 24, 2025. This is a critical opportunity for stakeholders—including individuals using these waivers, their families, and service providers—to share feedback and contribute to shaping the future of these programs.
